Lee graduated from Auburn University and started working at the agency with his grandfather Cecil Pitman in 1989. Lee purchased the agency from Cecil in 1995 and is the lead salesman. He loves his hometown where he dedicates much of his time to various committees and organizations.
Katie started working at the agency part time in 2012 and stepped in as office manager full time in 2016. She oversees the day-to-day operations and client service work. She loves to post to her blog “Four Under Two” and volunteer her time with her senior friends at Homestead Village.
Amelia was hired in July of 2016. She is a licensed agent who specializes in commercial property, new business, and nonstandard renewals. She is known for her active lifestyle and positive attitude. If you ask around, you will find she is also known for her baking skills. When she brings one of her cheesecakes to the office, it will be gone in minutes!
Barbara was hired from Alabama Home Builders where she accrued fifteen years of experience. She has been with the agency five years and has been deemed the “work comp whisperer.” When she isn’t handling worker’s compensation or office accounting, you will likely find her gardening or taking a trip to the beach! She has 23 years of experience.
Josh was named after his great grandfather James Ivy Pitman, one of the founding members of Fairhope Rotary Club which Josh has recently joined. Josh graduated from Troy University in 2021 with a degree in risk management. He began working right away and handles much of the new business. Ask him about Pitman Insurance’s S.C.U.B.A. dive team!
Lot graduated from Huntingdon College in 2020 with a degree in Biology. He is the most recent hire as of June 2022. He oversees the company website and social media accounts. In his spare time, he runs his wildlife/nature social media accounts.
Roxie is the mascot of the agency. She greets customers with a smile on her face and two paws in the air. She loves to chase squirrels and love on people. Disregarding any dietary plans, Roxie will doggedly work for treats.
Cecil was the founder of Pitman Insurance. He was raised working for J.I. Pitman & Co. one of Fairhope's first stores. He played baseball at Auburn and was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals but his father told him to come home and work, which he did. He founded Pitman Insurance Agency in 1952 to supplement his real estate agency that he founded a year prior.
